If you're living the typical life filled with stress then your life is out of balance. This is the case with most of us. We rush around each day trying to fulfill our roles at work and at home with scarcely any time to catch our breath. Life should be composed of a balance of work, play and rest but for many of us such a balance is a fantasy.

It may be difficult to find balance in a hectic world but there are ways to temporarily withdraw and relax. First of all, learn to make time for you. Each day we spend a good portion of our time doing things for other people, leaving our own needs to be placed on the back burner.

It is important that you resolve to make time for you. If you don't take care of yourself, you won't be able to care for others properly either when you're tired, irritable and out of balance. You need time to replenish yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. You need to have time to clear your head and relax.
